Black and white photo of Shaunavon showing buildings in various stages of construction, “Drug Store” has a sign. Written in pencil on pieces of tape on the photo from left to right: “Now Shaunavon Standard, Empress Hotel. Burned 1914 Replaced by Shaunavon Hotel, Naismith Hardware Now Eng’s Ready - To - Wear, Drug Store, Upstairs, Dr. Grant Dentist (Burned 1918)” also written on tape across the top of the photo: “Empress corner Centre + 2nd Ave | Block 200” and at the far right top “Block”.
