Description
Ball Perfect Mason blue Jar half gallon with zinc lid and 2 tabbed rubbers (sealers; dark red-brown coloured). On bottom is a number 1, which is the mold number (identifies the position that the mold, in which the jar was made, held on the glassmaking machine).
Zinc lid (the top of the zinc lid is embossed with Ball) has a white glass piece put inside on  the top of it (non-removable), which is embossed with "FOR BALL MASON JARS (then a rhombus shape) GENUINE ZINC CAP (then a rhombus shape again)" in a circle around the edge.
The jar's mouth has a screw thread on its outer perimeter to accept a metal ring (or "band").
The tabbed rubber goes on there first and then then lid gets screwed on.
