Description
Wooden Model of Aiktow School presented to Margaret Gallagher (Friesen) (Hackney) a former teacher in 1944. When she died it was given to her daughter Lois-Anne who gave it to Jack Hayes who donated it to the Museum. Lois-Anne Gallagher who was Mrs. Gallagher (Friesen) 's daughter (born in 1945) brought in the model after Jack left it at the RM Office.  . The building is made of wood and has a bronze plaque on it stating " Margaret Friesen with appreciation from Former Students". There is a sign on the front of the school saying Aiktow School. The doors and windows are carved into the wood along with the step leading to the door. The model was presented to Mrs. Gallagher after she retired from teaching.
The school is now the concession at Palliser Regional Park and has had several renovations.
