Four poster bed with rope as the box spring. There are 10 spindles to hold the rope on one side and 9 on the right side. (one is replaced with a nail). There are 6 spindles on the bottom and 6 on the top of the bed. There is a wood head bdard and a wood foot board.  The wood has been painted white. There are round wooden poles on each side of the bed to which the spindles are attached. There are smaller round wooden poles at the head and the base of the bed. The rope is twisted rope and is knotted to keep the box sping tight. 
This bed was brought out from Ontario in 1906 by T. A. Richardson of Gilroy.
