Description
A baseball mitt made by Derkert. The mitt is made of leather and has leather woven through holes to join the top and thumb together. There is leather binding on the bottom of the glove. On the backside of the glove there is a strip of leather sewn on the back of the glove and attached to the strip of leather is a buckle. There are 5 holes so that the wrist tightness can be adjusted. On the back there is also a piece that has been sewn in with leather edging. There are 6 stitched lines on this insert. The thumb has a piece of leather at the top which is attached to the main part of the mitt. On the inside of the mitt there is a band sewn in to protect the hand from the ball. 
This glove was used by Rodney Kent's father (Leonard Kent) when he played baseball in Riverhurst.
