Description

A wooden wife spanking paddle. This was found in a box car coming from Port Arthur, Ontario (now Thunder Bay), The paddle has a nail on the top so that it can be hung. The shaft of the paddle is round and has been chiseled. The bottom of the paddle is square and is rough on all four sides. The bottom of the paddle is rounded from the sides and resembles a four leaf clover. There is a label nailed to the paddle saying "Port Arthur Wife Spanker:.
