A C. N. R.  Lantern that is made by the Hiram l. Piper Co. Ltd. This name is embossed on the top of the lantern. Around the lower part of the lantern, is embossed CNR and below that is embossed Apr 1-1913-May 9-1922-Canada.1921-1923. Pats. Pending. There is a metal handle which is attached on each side by metal clips that ave a key-hole shape in tehm The handle wire has been bent below the clips and this is attached to the metal frame of the lantern. One of the wires attached to the frame is broken. The frame goes around the glass globe and is indented around where the fuel is placed. The base of the frame is circular. The globe has Adlake Aero on it and on the other side is CNR and above the CNR is a horseshoe pointing to the right and inside the horseshoe is NX. There is no wick in the lantern
