Early curling iron (tongs). The handles of the curling tongs are silver metal as is the curling section. The tongs open up by pushing on the handles and the hair is put in between the tongs. The tongs would be warmed up on a stove or in and open fire. To prevent the hair from burning, the tongs would be tested on a piece of paper. Materials
