A leather bandolier that has 9 ammunition pockets. The pockets have brass snaps and the large pocket flap slides over the snap. Under the larger flap is a smaller flap that also slides to ope. Under the smaller flap is the ammunition pocket. There are two brass buckles and a brass triangular piece that fits into one side so that the bandlier can be loosened or tightened to go over the soldiers shoulder. The manufacturer HughCarson Co. Ltd. has a date stamp of 1917 so the bandolier would have been used in the first world war. The pockets are attached to the belt part of the bandolier with rivets.
