A 1927 hand woven baby bassinet. Bassinets are cradle beds for babies from birth to four months old. There are many types of bassinets which generally fall into two categories the portable and stationary. This particular bassinet is a portable due to the light weight and lack of supports. The bassinet would be padded with cushion and the baby would sleep inside.
