Description
A handmade walker. This walker was made by donater, for his mother. She was one of the first settlers in the Riverhurst area. Her husband and her came from N. Dakota U.S.A. and settled in South Saskatchewan where Riverhurst is located. she used the walker to help with an injury due to a fall. The walker served it's purpose but shortly after she stopped using the walker she fell again.
Walkers made their first appearance 1949, UK and was  called a "walking aid". By 1957 the device had made it's way to north America but not until 1965 it was called a "walker"
