Description
A men's vest. The vest was worn by Harry Shooter's father, George William Shooter. Judging by the different array in materials, the hems and the stitches. This would have been a handmade vest. The style is mixture of the 1860's and 1885's vest. It has five buttons, a rounded collar and buckle at the back, one breast pocket, and two lower pockets. It was either made from pieces of different vests or altered to compensate for change in size. The sides are completely different from the rest of the vest and two of the button differ greatly from the majority of the buttons. buttons are also in a hairpin style where they appear to go through the fabric and connect to bobby pin like structure on the inner vest.
