Description

Negative of an aerial view of the town of Shaunavon. There are many businesses in the negative. The shot is taken from the north looking south. On the east side of Centre Street can be seen the Plaza Theater and Macleod’s. On the southeast corner of Centre and 3rd is the Mercantile Block, at the very south of the street is the Shaunavon train station. On the west side of Centre Street starting in the north is a Drug Store and a gas station. Then the Shaunavon Hotel is prominent. Heading west on 3rd Ave. there are a number of businesses and then the Kings Hotel. Date on the sleeve is 1959/09/13.
