Binkley (Furniture & Hardware), Mercantile Block (General Store ground floor), upstairs - S.A. Hutcheson, Dr. Hicks, Preston Bros., Scandia Hotel, Big station not yet built, Empress Hotel (burned 1914), Kennedy Hotel (1918 fire started here), Nightingale Drugstore, Post Office, The Trading Co., Hoberlin Tailoring, 1918 fire stopped at this empty lot by wetting blankets on next store, The Waverley Co. Confectionary (Theroux), Shaunavon Meat Market, (Shipman lived upstairs), first Idlehour Theater (burned in fall of 1914), Bill Keller, farm machinery (corner 3rd Ave. W. & 2nd St. W.), My Wardrobe (Leon Nadler, tailor)”.
