Description
Photograph of 8 pupils holding up projects made in school. Stone Farm School, No. 2899. Located about 12 miles north of Admiral in the RM of Bone Creek. The school was named after a homesteader named Frank Stone. Information given in a letter by the donor: school built about 1913-14, closed in 1957, sold and current location unknown, John A. McBurney was chairman of the board, Percy Gadel was secretary, board members were Gust Backstrom, Emil Larson, Allan Varco, John Johnson, Carl Lange, Mike Koch, Gunder Gunderson, a few teachers’ names are Marion Miller, Thelma Holmes, Tina Manuson, Eva Allen, Ethel Ross, Iona Habett, Mary McConnville and Elizabeth Elmgren
