Description

Black & white photograph taken of George Shepherd with his feet in the stocks at the English village of Fordwich taken during his visit to England in April and May of 1968. On the backside of photograph, in blue ink, Shepherd has written “In the stocks at Fordwich. The top log got stuck and Gordon [Dr. Gordon Shepherd, his son] had to unlace my shoes and take them off in order to let me out”.
