Photographic print, Image of a group of men, women, and children standing and seated in front of a log building
Handwritten on back: "N.W.M.P. Summer Barracks. West of Stonepile Crossing (3/4 mile?) in the 1890's. R.N.W.M.P., having no further use for it (after 1909) gave building to Harry Otterson who moved it to his [drawing of + over -] ranch east of the crossing where this picture was taken by Les Colbo in 1920", "N.W.M.P. vol II p. 362 (1897). The houses at each of the sub-posts had a lean-to kitchen adjoining the main room, in some instances large enough to serve as a mess [meal?] room", [on front] "Mrs Kisk & Margaret".
