Description

Photographic print, Shaunavon Town site / lot sale in Gull Lake, 1913 History: C.P.R. owned the town site. Fred Morsey was the C.P.R. agent. No one was allowed onto the town site until the town site sale in Gull Lake. People kept buildings and tents on the North side of Government Road. Once they found out which lot they had bought they moved their buildings onto the lots (on skids). The C.P.R. had previously surveyed the town and set up streets and lot sections etc. Information from Geo. Barr 1984.
