it is a small rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the letter "T" movable typeface. The pigment has naturally darkened with age/use and the surface is smooth/glossy as the original coat of varnish is still evident. The relief surface is a combination of dark brown, black, auburn and light brown with a thin line of faded white paint. The carved down proton is dark brown/ Burgundy. The back has curved raised lines across surface. Combination of light brown and dark brown.
