It is a small rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the letter "C" (movable typeface). The relief surface is smooth/glossy as original coat of varnish is evident. The relief is light dull orange, orange and patches of burgundy. The carved down portion is dark brown and red. The back is marked with black and dark brown/auburn.
