It is a small rectangular block of the wood with a hand carved relief of the letter "R" backwards (movable typeface). The pigment has naturally darkened and the relief is glossy/smooth as the original coat of varnish is evident. The relief is a combination of auburn with patches of burgundy and dark brown/black. Also has white whispy lines across surface. The carved down portion is red and black. On the top left corner 0.3 cm cut off with carved line on the side. The back is dark brown.
