It is a rectangular block of wood with a hand carved relief of the letter "R" backwards (movable typeface). The relief is orange/red with orange/red with areas of brown and black pigment. The carved down portion is brown and red with the carving marks evident. The back is discoloured and entirely covered in brown, red and black pigment in varying shades.
