It is a square block of wood with a hand carved relief of the number "1" backwards (movable typeface). The surface is dark red. There is a 4x5cm piece of wood cut out on the bottom right corner which does not effect the relief. On the back there are two pieces of paper glued on the back. On the left side (6x12cm) and middle (6x21cm). The paper is discoloured and marked with faded brown and auburn pigment with spots of bright red pigment. The uncovered wood is also discoloured and marked with faded black pigment.
