It is a rectangular block of wood. The pigment has naturally darkened and the original coat of varnish is still evident. The front surface is brown, auburn and burgundy. There is also noticeable water stains on the front surface. The back is entirely covered in glued on paper that is discoloured by dirt/grime and is marked with dark blue black and red pigment.
