It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the letter "P' backwards (movable typeface). The original coat of varnish is still evident on the relief surface. The relief is a pale orange with patches of brown and auburn pigment. There are also dark scratches/lines on the surface. The carved down portion is a matte black with a rust red along the outline of the "P". The back is discoloured by dirt/grime and time. The surface is also marked by faded red, black and dark blue pigment. ~root~>
