It is a rectangular block of wood with a machine carved relief of the letter "A" (movable typeface). The relief is orange, light orange, auburn and brown. The carved down portion is dark red with layer of dust. The back is discoloured and marked with black, red and dark blue ink. Has curved raised lines across the surface.
