It is a rectangular block of wood with a machine carved relief of the letter "A". The relief appears to be varnished or stained and is a combination of black, orange, dark red, brown and yellow. The carved down portion is Burgundy with a layer of dust. The back appears to also have been stained or varnished and is marked with red and black ink. Has raised curved lines across surface.
