It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the number "8". The relief surface appears to be varnished or buffed and carved by machine due to the lack of errors and overall consistency. The relief surface is stained light orange with small black scratches and marks of black ink. The carved down portion is stained with red and black ink which is chipping off. The back has raised horizontal curved lines across the entire surface and stained with red and black ink. ~root~>
