It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the number "3" backwards. The relief appears to be buffed or varnished and carved by machine due to the lack of errors and overall consistency. The relief is coloured with patches of red, orange and black ink and has small black scratches. The carved down portion is stained dark red. The back is covered in raised curved horizontal lines and stained with black ink and patches of red ink.
