It is a rectangular block of wood with a carved relief of the number "4" backwards. The relief appears to be varnished or polished and is carved due to the lack of errors and the overall consistency. The relief is orange with black scratches and patches of red and black ink. The carved portion is burgundy and the paint is chipping on the top left and bottom right corners. The back has raised curved horizontal lines across the surface and is stained with black and red ink.
