It is a rectangular block of wood with a double sided carved relief of an "E" and a "D". The first side with the "E" is stained dark red and the carved portion if stained dark brown. The second side has the carved relief of the letter "D". It is stained dark blue with red/orange smudges. The curves of the "D" are subtle. Both sides appear to be both well uses. The old accession number is written on a sticker placed on the bottom.
