Ornate Metal Urn (c.1900)

Ornate Metal Urn (c.1900)

Artifact

1971.1.1
1900
Tall ornate urn, handle and spout, covered in relief scroll work and cherubs. Not an actual urn as there is a hole the entire way through, perhaps a candle holder shaped like an urn. Broken at neck, mended with a shaft through the body, handle has fallen off. Brought from Norway. May have originally been from a church. Has been in donor's family since c.1900. 1971.1.2 is identical, but unbroken. A cork in the top.
