Moveable Typeface Tongue and groove joined rectangular wood block. Block 2 of a 9 part 11-½ inch tall moveable typeface number series. Front: Stained dark red-equally on recessed and relief wood. Block consists of a relief wood "1" with recessed wood defining the number. Recessed wood has linear grooves and is quite smooth. Sides: May have also been stained, as they are quite dark. Residual red ink stains near the front relief wood edges. Back: "1" is written in blue in the center of the block. Residual ink stains are concentrated around the outer edges. Center is much lighter.
