Description Empty envelope from the Department of the Interior, addressed to John Scott, Esq. Both Moose Jaw and Hotel Imperial, Swift Current are written on the front but are crossed out. Presumably, the letter was originally opened by a John Scott in Moose Jaw but this was not the correct John Scott, so the letter was forwarded to the Imperial Hotel in Swift Current. The letter may have then been forwarded to Assiniboia.
