Metal Arm Garter
Artefact
1995.x.185
Metal arm garter, used to keep a man's shirt sleeve rolled up. The band is elastic as the garter itself has been made of wire wound into a spring-like shape. There is a metal tool attached, but its function is unknown. The tool consists of a 6cm shaft with a pivoting arm on the end. Perhaps it is used to help put on cufflinks, or perhaps the object is a bracelet worn while tatting or crocheting, and it is used to hold your spool of thread.~root~>
