*Text Block* tongue and groove rectangular wood block. Front: block is composed mostly of relief wood with designs and words done in recessed wood. Down the right side of the block is a recessed design of a stop sign (including a pole and a base) measuring: Base-- 4.2cm wide by 1cm oval shaped, beginning 1.9cm from the right edge and 1cm from the bottom edge. Pole--0.2cm wide by 6.0cm long beginning in the center of the base. Sign--circle with a diameter of 6.3cm with linear grooves inside surrounding the line relief design of the word "STOP" written backwards in the center of the circle. To the left of the sign, 0.5cm from the top edge is the word "for" carved in lower case cursive, approximately 3cm wide by 2.5cm long (f) by 1cm long (o and r). Just below and to the left of "for" begins 3 lines of text: 1) "GAS--OIL" is carved in the first line measuring 21.4cm wide by 3cm long (in total). 2)"TIRES" begins 0.8cm below line 1 and 12.1cm from the right edge and is 14cm wide by 3cm long (in total). 3) "Repairs" begins 0.8cm below line 2 and 8.5cm from the right edge and is 22.5cm wide by 3cm long (in total). Stain appears to have originally been red but now has remnants from non-traditional printing, including silver, electric blue, hot pink and purple (all colours Andrew King did not use). Sides: stain smudges in non-original colours all over every side. Back: paper strip has been glued across the top edge. Stain remnants all over the back, but especially on the paper strip.~root~>
