Block, Linoleum

Artifact

2015.1.16
Rectangluar wood block with design, carved out of linoleum, that curves across the front of the board. The design is a banner that spells out "ORCHESTRA" backwards. It begins in the bottom right corner and curves upwards to the top left corner. The inside of each letter has a bumpy surface, from where the lino was scraped away. There are 10 tiny nails placed around the banner mounting it to the board. There is a label on the right side of the block that has the previous temporary accession number written on it. There is pencil handwriting on the back which spells out "blue".
