Block, Wood
Artifact
2015.1.3b
The block is in the shape of a rectangle with on portion continuing on longer than the rest of the block. This continuation is included in the width and length measurements. There is a 12.0cm by 25.5cm rectangle space or gap in the printing block (if it were to be a full rectangle). There are three shapes outlined by relief carved wood on the front of the block: a square, a circle, and a rectangle like shape with a top (or side depending on how you look at the front) that is zig zagged. The colour of the carved wood that is on top of the block is a burgundy red. Each of the shapes made by the carved wood are not closed; they have a side or bottom that is missing. There is a label with the previous temporary number written on it, and it is located on the bottom side of the piece of wood that continues on from the rest of the block. There is tape on the back of the block, and it has "DAG 297" written on it with red ink. At the top of the back is written the previous temporary accession number.~root~>
