A clipping of a weekly series from "The Sun" newspaper called "Those Were The Days". The series was written by Jim Greenblat as he reminisces on the past of Swift Current.
This particular article is from 31 October 1962. It talks about an early Swift Current teacher Miss Shaughnessy, early music scene contributors, Fenton's Grove, Katherine Stinson, a Chinese man who died in the Reliance Hotel and whose body was poorly handled by ambulance personnel, one of the first cars in Swift Current that was owned by Dr A E Kelly, the Carleton and the horse that somehow got stuck on its roof, double poppies appreciated by the Mennonites, and the harsh winter of 1906 to 1907 when coal being shipped through town was taken by several people, including I E Argue.~root~>
