White necktie or neck piece, perhaps part of a military uniform. The tie has wide ends, and a thinner centre. There is a button hole along the thin portion, which goes around the back of the neck and ties at the front.
The necktie was owned by Lt. Col. William Van Allen of the 16/22nd Saskatchewan Horse, and 14th Canadian Light Horse / Hussars.
