Projectile Point Fragment (300 BP)
Artifact

300 bp
Fragment of a projectile point, likely made of chert. The fragment is specifically the concave base of a point with no side notches.
The lack of notches narrows down the specific type of point quite a bit. However, it still bears resemblance to points of both spears and arrowheads. It seems possible that it is a Clovis or Basally Thinned Triangular spear point from the early Period. It could also be a Plains Triangular arrowhead from the Late Period, around 450 to 250 years before present (BP). ~root~>
