Booklet titled "The Motherwell Story". The booklet is about Dr. William Richard Motherwell, who homesteaded near Abernethy, Saskatchewan. Mr. Motherwell was an MLA, and was the first president of the Territorial Grain Growers Association. He set up Saskatchewan's Department of Agricultural along scientific principles, and co-founded the Saskatchewan College of Agriculture in 1908. He also ran for Federal politics in 1921 as a liberal, and served as the Minister of Agriculture from 1922 to 1930. He died in 1943 at the age of 83. His homestead is now a National Historic Site.~root~>
