Arrowhead Projectile Point (1000 bp)
Artifact
2007.16.18
1000 bp
White projectile point, possibly made of quartz. The point has a slightly concave base which is wider than the point. It also has small notches, and slightly curved edges up to the tip.
Given its shape and size, this point is likely an arrowhead. The bow and arrow became popular in the Late Period, which took place around 2,000 to 300 years before present (BP). This particular arrowhead most closely resembles Prairie Side-Notched points from 1,200 to 550 years before present.~root~>
