Arrowhead Projectile Point (1100 bp)
Artifact
2007.16.1l
1100 bp
Projectile point with a marbled like colour. The point has a concave base, small side notches, and edges curved outwards up to the tip.
Based on its shape and size, this point is likely an arrowhead. The bow and arrow became popular in the Late Period, which took place around 2,000 to 300 years before present (BP). This particular arrowhead most closely resembles Avonlea points from 1,350 to 1,100 years before present, or Prairie Side-Notched points from 1,200 to 550 years before present.~root~>
