Stereoscopic card for a stereoscope. The card bears two almost identical photographs, which appear three-dimensional when the image is viewed through a stereoscope. The image is of a military troop aiming their rifles. The caption reads: "13770. The 'South Lancashire'. The Prince of Wales Volunteers, on the Firing Line at Colesberg, South Africa."

"James M Davis. // New York, St. Louis, Liverpool, Toronto, Syndey" is printed on one end, and "Copyright 1900, by B.W. Kilburn" is printed on the other. "Photographed and Published by B.W. Kilburn, - Littleton, N.H." is printed on the reverse.
