Stereoscopic card for a stereoscope. The card bears two almost identical photographs, which appear three-dimensional when the image is viewed through a stereoscope. The image was taken during the Boer War, and is of four men in military uniforms firing their guns over a ridge. The caption reads: "British Scouts firing on a Boer Patrol (Jan. 10th) near Colesberg, S. Africa.", and "Copyright 1900 by Underwood & Underwood" is printed under the caption. More information about the photographs is printed on the back of the card.

"Sun Sculpture Works and Studios // Arlington, N.J. Littleton, N.H. Washington, D.C." is printed on one end of the card, and "Underwood & Underwood, Publishers. // New York, London, Toronto-Canada, Ottawa-Kansas." is printed on the other side.
