Three containers painted blue that were used for wet batteries. in 1903. Mr. Rudd used the wet batteries on a portable 15 h.p gas engine. When dry batteries were available, these containers were discarded and Mrs. Rudd used the containers as crocks for many years. Below is a diagram of the wet battery. What is left in these containers is the protective covering.
