Description Vintage Silk stockings from the 1930's or 1940's. That period had seams that matched the stocking. The stockings are a nude colour which was acceptable. During that time women could not show their legs without there being some cover on them.The stockings are reinforced at the heel and toe. The heels are reinforced with black silk. The tops of the stockings are reinforced and stretchy so that they fit over the thigh. The top of one of the stockings has been darned to fix a run or a hole.  The stockings were held up by either a garter belt or a girdle that had to have suspenders with clips.
