Hardcover Methodist Hymn Book. On the page before the Preface, the book says "Entered, according to the Act of Parliament of Canada. In the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, by the REV. WILLIAM BRIGGS, in the Office of the Minister of Agriculture, at Ottawa". The Hymnal was given to Norman Jackson for Xmas 1908. The hymnal is 244 pages and does not contain music just the lyrics. The hymns are divided into sections (e.g. The Lord Jesus Christ, Penitence and Trust, Believers Praying).
