Description Image of downtown Swift Current in the fall of 1913. Taken from the top of the Carlton Hotel, looking east. Visible businesses are W.E. Mountain Real Estate, City Livery & Transfer, the Royal Bank of Canada and the Boston Store - General Merchandise. Carlton was built in 1913, burnt down in 1953, 100 block of 1st Avenue Northwest, erected by J.W. Bertin.
